If you’ve never seen a shuttle launch at night, you are missing something.
We figured it would be a perfect time, middle of the week, middle of the night, not many tourists in town, perfect weather.
Right on all but one of the counts.
The shuttle was only visible for the first 20-30 seconds after launch.
Once it got past the clouds, you could not even see the light from the engines. Very odd.
It made for a couple of great pictures.
